Congratulations - State Semi-Finals

Hello Monarch Band Students and Families,

It’s official - we have officially automatically qualified to State Championship Semifinals!

There are only 4 more 4A bands that perform tomorrow in the Western Slope. So even if somehow they all score above us we would still be in the top 6. You can see regional standings here.

By tomorrow evening, we will officially know our seeding going into State and I will send a more detailed email with the official itineraries for state. For now, please plan on following this schedule of dates for State Week (all updated on the Band Calendar). We only have one week left - it is time to go all out to maximize our show!

Monday October 19th: Rehearsal 6-9pm

Tuesday October 20th: Rehearsal 6-9pm

Wednesday October 21st: Rehearsal 6-9pm

Thursday October 22nd: Rehearsal 6-9pm AND STATE SEND OFF SHOW @8:00pm on the MoHi Turf Field. (TBC - STILL CONFIRMING THIS WITH THE SCHOOL). I will make an announcement flyer once this is confirmed.

Friday October 23rd: Senior Speeches 6-8pm. Every student must attend this important night where we honor our seniors! They won’t want to miss this special night. Senior Parents are encouraged to attend.

Saturday October 24th: State Semifinals and Finals @Falcon Stadium, USAFA. Times are still not 100% confirmed but we have a solid idea. If we stay in the same place (Auto-Qualification 2) we will perform at 3:00pm on Saturday the 24th. If we make finals, we will stay to perform in Finals that evening. Finals schedule is determined by semi-finals placement. Finals full retreat begins at 9:30pm and concludes around 10:15pm. After that, we would load up and depart. As a heads up, students will be home very late on this evening (likely around 12am-1am).

PARENTS - WE NEED YOU! Please consider volunteering for State Championships. We cannot run the show without your support and these kids deserve every bit of it! They have worked so hard and it will be worth it to see it all come together on the final day of the marching band season.
