The Monarch High School Marching Band, currently in the 4A division, has been a state finalist band for the last 10 years, and has placed in the top 3 for the last three years!

Students in marching band participate in a variety of fun events including competitions, parades, football games, and community performances. Every 3-4 years the band takes a big trip out of state.

Participation

As with all BVSD high schools, all students enrolled in band (concert/jazz/percussion) participate in the Marching Band unless a student plays a Fall Monarch sport that conflicts with the band schedule. The musicianship, ensemble work, community building, and discipline developed in marching band translates to the high level of performance in the Concert and Jazz Bands.
